Originally, we created Builder’s Pro with the intention of supporting local builders on-site. We quickly realized that we could support builders no matter where you live and work through CoConstruct! We fully understand what it takes to be a successful builder. From directing subcontractors, to managing your team, to providing timely client communication, you can easily become overwhelmed with the demand to produce a project in-budget, on-time, and according to specs. We believe CoConstruct can reduce stress and build the business you want.

Our goal is to help you incorporate your unique processes into CoConstruct and provide you with everything you need to use this powerful software at its maximum potential. Regardless of where you are located in the U.S. or Canada, we can consult, design, and implement custom solutions that allow you to optimize your use of CoConstruct efficiently.

Laurie Chavarria

OWNER / PROJECT SPECIALIST

Laurie received her Master’s Degree in Business from Brenau University and began her professional life in healthcare and education. However, her career path quickly changed after she discovered her love for construction and design.

When she met her husband Marco, he was working on a personal renovation project in his 1940’s home. Laurie helped him remodel a bathroom and reframe an exterior wall to replace a rotting wood window. She thought this process was fascinating and soon began working on her own projects. Over the last 15 years, her curiosity and desire to learn has opened up opportunities to work independently and alongside talented tradespeople and builders, developing her skills and understanding of the industry.

Project management became a focus for Laurie, knowing that many builders can’t afford to hire full time managers, so she wanted to offer hourly contract services to support them. After a bad experience with the build of their own home, she was even more driven to provide services that would support, not only the builders, but the homeowners who work with them. The opportunity do this became apparent when one of her first clients needed CoConstruct integration, a software program designed to improve business processes and encourage positive client interaction.

Since then she has helped multiple builders and remodelers, in the US and Canada, improve and integrate their business practices through this powerful software. Laurie and Marco moved to Asheville in the spring of 2016 and enjoy mountain life with their three dogs and two cats. In her spare time she is often hiking, biking or working on her 1973 Bronco.

Marco Chavarria

PROJECT SPECIALIST

With a degree in animal science, Marco had a difficult time finding a job in the industry and turned to public service as a firefighter and paramedic. This career shift was a great fit for his love of learning new things and working with people, and the schedule allowed him to pursue his passion for woodworking and construction.

Working independently on personal projects or for a small construction/renovation company, Marco was able to acquire experience in a wide range of skills. As he moved further into his career in healthcare, he never lost focus of his interest in construction and woodworking.

Marco has worked hand in hand with Laurie on a variety of home renovations which helped create a very strong working relationship between the two of them. As he watched Laurie develop Builder’s Pro, he began to get involved and was reminded of how much he enjoyed the construction industry and has decided that, as he transitions out of healthcare over the coming years, he’ll take a bigger role in the company, focusing on trade, supplier and homeowner on-boarding and education.

In his spare time, Marco can most likely be found in his wood shop or on a trail with Laurie and the dogs.

What kind of work do you do, and where are you located?

Our primary focus is helping builders and remodelers across the country with CoConstruct integration to improve their business processes. We work closely with our clients through customized training packages and template creation.  We are the first to be certified by CoConstruct! We have an excellent working relationship with them and value your experience with CO+ as much as they do.

Locally, we offer our clients 360˚ photos for project updates, rough-in, and finished projects.

We are based out of the Asheville, NC area!

Why do you require advance payments?

Builder’s Pro offers pre-paid packages, which may be new in the construction industry, but are a very common and efficient way to do business. You get the help you need, when you need it with one fixed payment and can easily plan in advance for the cost. Previously we offered hourly and subscription options, but our builders loved the convenience of the package pricing, so we listened and switched all of our plans to make it easy for you.

By using packages we can better align our goals with your needs for personalized services and improve our scheduling abilities. In the same way that builders use a deposit and contract to guarantee services and scheduling, we see pre-paid packages and our services agreement, as being mutually beneficial for the success of our clients’ companies and our own.

We offer safe and easy online payment options to make free ACH electronic payments.

What’s the benefit of hiring a company like yours?

Simply put… you get the help you need, when you need it.  All of the services we offer are customized to your needs and your company.  From 360˚ imaging to your CoConstruct templates and training, you get the focused attention you need to improve your business.

I’ve never hired someone to do virtual work before. Can you tell me how it works and how you guarantee your work?

“Times They Are A-Changin” and virtual work in construction is becoming more and more popular….then a pandemic comes along and makes this statement even more legitimate.  Your time and project are guaranteed through Services Agreement/Statement of Work that provides a clear understanding of how we’ll work together and the tasks that will be completed.  We will communicate by phone, email, virtual meetings and through CO+ to get the job done. If you would like a copy of our Services Agreement, just let us know and we’ll get one to you!

In the future we also plan on offering on-site training and regional CoCamps…stay tuned for details!

How much do you charge?

CoConstruct: Well, we have to give the answer that everyone hates…We really have to know what your needs are because our services are customized to fit you.
